About
Hi -
Thanks for checking out my site. Here’s a little info about me:
I grew up playing music in Stockbridge, MA, and completed my undergraduate degree in Rochester, NY at the Eastman School of Music where I studied classical percussion with John Beck and also studied Balinese Gamelan and Shona Mbira. I also now hold a Master of Music degree in percussion performance from Stony Brook University, where I played a ton of great contemporary music had the privelege of studying with Eduardo Leandro.
I currently split my time between Brooklyn, NY and Housatonic, MA. You can see me playing frequently in the New York area with many stylistically diverse groups. I really get a kick out the very wide variety of instruments that I get to play in such a wide variety of styles and with so many very different amazing musicians. You can get the latest info on the musical projects I’ve been working on, or just take a look at the events page to find out where and when I’m playing next.
I also do freelance web and graphic design (squarecandythatlooksround.com), and I am one of the three founding co-artistic director of Bazaar Productions and The Berkshire Fringe (www.berkshirefringe.org).
You can hear my playing on the Cantaloupe and New Amsterdam Records labels.
