What is the world coming to?
This takes Yuppyish the “make your baby smarter with Mozart” concept into the realm of New Age cure-all healing. Wow.
Also note that it doesn’t seem to be an actual CD available anywhere, nor does it contain any original music, despite the catchy titles like “Regrowth With Healing Sounds Of The Ocean” and “Follicular Miniaturization“. It’s just a digital repackaging of pre-existing classical music tracks and nature sounds. I mean, if you’re going to try and make a buck playing on people’s insecurities, might as well be efficient [ahmmm... lazy] about it, right?

What a great vibe and positive audience at the Stone last friday for what’s really the first proper Oliphant gig ever… Thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support. For those of you who couldn’t make it – there’s more to come soon! Join the list at the bottom of the page and I’ll keep you posted…
Should be a bit of audio and video from this gig sometime soon too.
But for now, it’s off to Mexico for a good friend’s wedding and – me and Sara’s first vacation ever!

I’m soooo psyched about Oliphant’s gig at The Stone this friday! It’s gonna be hot. I put up our new track on the Sounds page, so check it out. Then come to the show. Seriously. Do it. 10pm – Fri – Ave C & 2nd St – $10.
James Moore plays the National Steel Guitar, and Duct Tape.
Jen Stock operates the Sampletacular Laptop, Bellhop Bell, and Duct Tape.
Pete Wise (that’s me) on the Drums, Plastic Cutlery, and Duct Tape.
